Resolve Issue with Gravity Forms API
How to fix issues with Gravity Forms API, specifically "Permission Denied."
When FormTester fills out your form and submits, it then uses Gravity Forms' API to confirm that the submission was received. If you are seeing reports about forms being unconfirmed with a note about an "issue with Gravity Forms API," it most likely a configuration issue in Gravity Forms' API settings. Here's how to resolve the issue:
Log in to your Wordpress admin, and navigate to Gravity Forms settings.
Go to REST API then scroll down to Impersonate account — the account chosen here needs to be an account with Administrator permissions. This is a Gravity Forms requirement for the API to work.
IMPORTANT: You then need to click "Save" in order for this to work. There have been instances where it appears to be set to an account that has administrator permissions, but isn't working. Temporarily changing to another account and saving, then switching back and saving again has sometimes resolved this.
If the account chosen already has administrator permissions, please email us at help@formtester365.com and we will work to resolve this issue for you.
